Yeah,It's just a trip to a castle...No biggie.

Dobry Den!

We got to go to the Prazsky hrad (Prague castle) today!!!!!!!!!!! I was really excited to because ever since I started looking at Prague for study abroad I wanted to go there. It's so beautiful. You can see it from almost anywhere in the city! Our ISA group went together, we had professional tour guides which was really cool because we learned about a lot of the history there. The cathedral was most definitely the most impressive part followed closely by the amazing view of the city. I think the best way to explain it is to just post pictures!!!

Cassi and I right before we went through the entrance of the castle. The massive building behind us is the St. Vitus Cathedral! It's super old, the guide told us the years but I couldn't understand her very well so very old is the guestament I'm going to give. Something I thought was cool about it though was how there are a few styles of architecture on just that one building because of long it took for it to built. Also, the part that you can see in this part is the oldest part of it because they added onto it after some of it had been built.

This is the entrance to the cathedral that we used. It was stunning! This is actually the building that stands out the most when you are in the city and looking towards the castle, I didn't know that until we got there I thought it was a building used by the president or something like that, never thought of it being a church.

Inside the cathedral! It was just so beautiful inside, and freezing! It's basically just one long hall once you enter into it. At the front alter there is a crypt has many Bohemia Kings buried underneath it. I want to go back and explore the inside more, we basically stayed in this one spot.

The area right outside of the cathedral, I think that guy in the middle of the picture is looking up at the awesomeness of it too!

I believe, from what I could understand from our tour guide, the white round building has statues of past presidents on it and it was where many presidents have held their office. Now, the president has his own place outside of time, I don't think they liked the idea of their home being a touristy place.

Right before the changing of the guards. I think I will always find it amusing how they keep such a straight face when everyone is staring/taking pictures with them...then again the Czech are really good at not smiling.

I'm going to try tomorrow to get the video of the changing of the guards to upload onto here.

This was one of my favorite pictures, you could see EVERTHING from the castle. I'm definitely going back so that I can see more of it and get more pictures like this!

Now it seems like after seeing such a beautiful place everything after that would be a drag but I had such a great day today, I did pretty good on my quiz (we have only had class for 2 days), or so my teacher says and after the castle I went with Cassi and a few other friends from our ISA group to get Starbucks in New Town and then we met up with our friend Trevor later for dinner. We ate pizza at this really cute hole in the wall, I'm excited to try more of those they always seem to surprise you the most.

Some quick things that made my day today:

1. I think our fridge might be too cold because my cuties (baby oranges) and the tomatoes are frozen.
2. Cassi cracks up ANYTIME someone says "check this out"
3. Rode on more than just the 9 to get around and actually knew where I was going!
4. Observing all of the funny fur hats people wear, it makes me laugh so much!
5. My washing machine sounds like a massive airplane is taking off and landing everytime we do a load of   laundry.

Basically today was a success and I'm getting used to this, I feel like it won't be long until I can get around the city with ease!!!
